I am sharing this song and poem that I received on Tioman Island, Malaysia.

As I sat by the mangrove forest, listening to the flowing creek, the songs of birds, and the chorus of insects, I was taken back to an ancient time as the land shared this song with me.

Surrounded by trees, with bats gliding overhead, a beautiful melody began to weave itself through the gentle tones of the sansula. I could feel the vibration of this ancient story being carried through my voice, echoing among the trees, the water, and the earth.

May this song reconnect your heart with the love of Mother Earth.

Listen…

The story of this land is being told

Many have walked this land before you since the beginning of time

In the quiet moments of dawn
when the earth is still fresh
the soil beneath bare feet was damp with the lifeblood of a new earth

Ancient murmurs echoed among the trees
while rivers flowed freely across the open land

The songs of the birds
were shared by all who called this place home

Even today
the forest remembers
this familiar melody
that soothes the heart

Today
we share this song with you
so it may be carried forward
remembered
and revived

May humanity remember
that the Earth is our home

With deep love
we offer you the blessings
of what was once cherished
and has never truly been lost

In the quiet moments of stillness
remember
that you walk upon the land of gold

May each step
bring you closer
to your own heart
to love

Welcome home
